Oya Komut Yücel graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in 1990. She gained her master’s degree from Göttingen University (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen) in 1994.

Between 1996 and 2002, she worked as an attorney of EGS Holding A.Ş.. Oya Komut Yücel, who has a vast experience on company establishments, drafting and revising contracts, improving and coordinating the legal structures of group companies, and consulting to these companies, has worked as a self-employed lawyer since 2000 and has mainly served companies, which have foreign partners. She served as the general secretary of the Association of Turkish-German Businessmen and Academics (TAIAD) based in Izmir between 2000 and 2007 and as a member of the EBSO Germany relations committee between 2007 and 2009. Since 2020, she has been working as DMF LEGAL - Aegean regional representative manager.
