Since 24 September 2012, Turkish citizens have a right to apply individually to the Constitutional Court, being a vital part of today's democracies and modern judicial system. For this purpose, the way of individual application for violations of rights due to active or passive governmental public force, includes the ability of observance of human rights stipulated by European Convention on Human Rights and its supplementary protocols signed and accepted by Republic of Turkey as well as the public freedoms, especially fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the constitutional law.
